The United States has pledged to continue to support Nigeria in its fight against terrorism in the country.

Commander of the United States African Command, General David Rodriquez gave the assurance during a visit to the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, Rear Admiral Ola Ibrahim.

He commended Nigeria for continuing to be at the forefront of peace missions around the globe despite its own challenges.

Responding, Rear Admiral Ibrahim admitted that Nigeria was going through a trying moment but however gave the assurance that the crisis will soon be a thing of the past.

He also solicited support of the US in the areas of training, logistics and intelligence in the fight against terrorism.
