hamza al mustaphaFormer Chief Security Officer to former Head of State General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha on Friday said that he is considering instituting a legal suit against former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

This is over the letter the former president wrote to President Goodluck Jonathan accusing him of training snipers for the President.

He made the comment in Kaduna while speaking to journalists after he withdrew a suit he filed at an Upper Sharia Court against a prominent Islamic preacher in the state, Sheik Sanusi Khalil, who also accused him in December 2013, of training snipers for President Jonathan.

He said that he would take action on Obasanjo’s letter at the end of the investigation launched by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the matter.

Commenting on the current spate of bombings in the country, Al-Mustapha said that Nigerians must join forces on the war on terror, describing the recent bomb blast in Jos, Plateau State and Nyanya in the nation’s capital where hundreds of people were killed as very disheartening and disturbing.

Major Al-Mustapha also said that the Nigerian military is capable of winning the war against terror.
