The Rivers State Police command has made good its promise to reduce criminal activities within the state as the command made various arrest of armed robbers, cultists and kidnappers within 24 hours.
Briefing journalists at the Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Muhammed, said that the command prevented a robbery at a new generation bank on Ikwere Road, Port Harcourt, with a recovery of 15million naira.
The operation, according to him, also led to the arrest of two wounded suspects after the robbers had engaged the Police in a gun battle.
Parading the suspects and their arms, the PPRO insisted that the command remains resolute in its determination to rid the state of criminal elements.
Meanwhile, one of the suspects, Elijah Wilson, who spoke to Channels Television, said that he had no regrets being a member of a cult in his community, which according to him is in crisis.
