The Rivers State Police Command has vowed that it would leave no stone unturned in its fight against crime in the state during the Yuletide.
The Police has also warned politicians to comport themselves properly in their political campaigns.
The State Commissioner of Police, Dan Bature, stated this at the command’s display of power at the Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Rivers Police Command had led a team of security forces from the Navy, Army and other agencies in the state in a convoy during an exercise tagged, ‘The Show Of Strength’.
The Police Commissioner briefed officers on guard on the importance of the exercise, and told journalists that although this was a routine operation, the security challenges in the state informed the public display of the readiness of his command to rise up to the occasion.
He then warned politicians not to throw caution in the wind as they engage in massive electioneering towards the 2015 general elections.
He insisted that there would be no sacred cow as the Police go about the discharge of their duties.
