This submission was made by the Oyo state Governor, Abiola Ajimobi during the commissioning of a State of the Art Printing Press for a newspaper company in Ibadan.

Gov. Ajimobi who expressed satisfaction at the positive changes in the quality of practice however decried haphazard job done on stories that should have been thoroughly investigated to avoid misinformation.

Present at the event was matriarch of the Awolowo dynasty, Mama H.I.D Awolowo, who turns 100 soon told Channels Television in an exclusive chat after the inauguration of the new printing press that every Nigerian must work tirelessly to eschew violence before, during and after elections ..

The Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi who was by her side all through the event lauded the initiative the Awolowo family for contributing to credible journalism and the development of Oyo state and the country at large.

He charged journalists across the country to devise means of effective investigative journalism as a tool for societal justice and development.

On the state of the nation and sustenance of peace, the matriarch of the Awolowo empire, Mama H.I.D Awolowo says peace can only be achieved if all Nigerians put heads together and agree that it is a collective responsibility.
