The adjournment came after a preliminary objection raised by Counsel to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Alex Iziyon and Counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Timothy Kehinde, challenging the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to call seven witnesses without providing details of the witnesses.
In his response, Counsel to the APC told the Tribunal that the motion from the PDP and INEC had just been served on them and that they needed time to respond.
The Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Nasiru Gunmi, consequently adjourned sitting to enable him hear the motion from the respondent.
The APC and its governorship candidate in the just concluded elections in Delta State had challenged the election victory of Ifeanyi Okowa, filing a petition at the Tribunal.
