The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has reiterated the commitment of his administration to provide adequate security of lives and properties of the people living in the state.

Governor Bello gave this assurance while receiving elders from the three senatorial districts who paid him a courtesy visit to mark his 100 days in office.

The Governor stated that his government will not rest on its oars on the issue of security challenges facing the country at large.

In their response, the residents of the state called on the governor to look critically in  the area of education which they said has collapsed in the state.

They advised him to take the issue of security very serious, as the issue of Fulani herdsmen is hitting hard on some areas in the state.

The governor assured the residents to work with every bit of their advice.
