President Muhammadu Buhari has lanch with APC governors and politicians in Daura on Thursday, August 23, 2018

More governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have visited President Muhammadu Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina State.

The visit comes barely 24 hours after Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, and his Plateau State counterpart, Simon Lalong, among other dignitaries paid homage to the President.

President Buhari told the delegation that his administration is committed to fulfilling its campaign promises made in 2015.

He vowed not to be distracted by the criticisms of the opposition party as the Federal Government has made efforts in addressing the priorities of Nigerians.

The President said that his administration has the full understanding of Nigeria’s challenges and is encouraged by the support it is getting from Nigerians in addressing them.

‘We are always encouraged when all our constituents are happy with the work we are doing and our genuine efforts to make sure that what we campaigned for in 2015 is still very much in our minds and we have not lost focus”.

He assured his guests that the Federal Government is keen to address the security challenges in the country.

‘‘In terms of security, economy and the fight against corruption, we have maintained focus. Even the opposition with all their resources cannot fault our identification of Nigeria’s priorities and the efforts being made to better them”.

He promised to continue to do what he can as a leader.

Among the delegations were Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, governors of Katsina, Aminu Masari; Kebbi, Abubakar Bagudu; Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje; and Niger, Abubakar Sani Bello, Senator Shehu Sani.

President Buhari earlier arrived Daura on Monday evening to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir.
