The Delta State Police Command has put up measures to ensure tight security in the state following a local training on police office to combat the rate of crime. Some newly promoted officers were promoted as well during the event.

Speaking at the Passing out Parade, the state Commissioner of Police, Ikechukwu Aduba urged his men to be of good behavior and shun corruption so as to win the confidence of people once again.

The newly trained officers were seen displaying their expertise with their weapons and ready to combat crime with the knowledge just acquired.

Addressing all the officers present, Aduba urged them to shun corruption as much as possible, warning that anyone caught extorting money from Nigerians will have himself to blame.

Mr Aduba further encouraged the officers to try as much as possible to win back the confidence of the masses once again by abiding by the code of conduct of the police force.

Some newly confirmed and promoted officers were also decorated by the police commissioner.

Inspector Adeniyi Dare who responded on behalf of the officers appreciated the state police boss for the promotion and promised, on behalf of his colleagues, to do their best and make the police force proud.
