
It was discovered that the gang, who have been responsible for many kidnappings in the state especially in the Warri axis, kidnapped one Tombra Tams Okubiri on April 10 and took her Toyota Sienna bus, Augustina Ejifoma on April 19, took her Toyota Camry and Stephen Olowu and took his Toyota Venza SUV, killed him and dumped his body in river Otokutu.
The syndicate, which consists of Sunday Ogisi, Kes Onwubolu, Holy Ighoragbor, John David, Moses Urode, Samuel Onyema and Francis Oshvies, sold the three vehicles they took from their victims at give away prices of N50,000 N100,000 and N120,000 respectively.
Addressing journalists at the command headquarters, the State Director, Mrs Florence Ikanone, represented by Mr Bonny Egbeji, the Assistant Director Security Enforcement, pointed out that the suspects will be charged to court while a man hunt for other members has been launched.
Speaking to Channels Television, the suspects confessed to the crime which took place at three different locations namely Jakpa Road, NNPC Complex Road and Police Station Road, Effurun.
With the arrest of this notorious gang, it is expected that the rate of kidnapping will reduce drastically in the state.
