Niger Delta, Air Marshall, Militancy

Air ForceThe Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has reminded officers and men of the Air Force to always uphold the tenets of professionalism, discipline and sacrifice for which the Nigerian military is known for.

This, he said, has become more important, especially now that the country is facing several security challenges.

Air Marshal Abubakar gave the advice during the passing out parade of recruits of basic military training course at the Air Force Base in Kaduna State.

The recruits commenced training six months ago and the Chief of Air Staff reminded them that with the training they have received so far, they are bound to submit to both military and civil authority at all times.

He told the new recruits that most of them would be deployed to fight the Boko Haram insurgents in the northeast and militants in the Niger Delta region to curb disruption of oil installations.

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, also used the occasion to commend the Nigerian Air Force for its support in the fight against all forms of restiveness in the country.
