The Osun State Police Command said it has commenced investigation into the crisis which led to the attack on Channels Television Crew on Tuesday.
Channels Television camera was confiscated by the hoodlums who perpetrated the attack.
The crew was attacked after pandemonium broke out on Tuesday morning at the entrance of the Osun State government office Abeere, following the order and counter order of strike by the two factions of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state.
The crisis got heated up when a faction of the union and its workers reported for work against the order of the erstwhile Chairman of the TUC, Comrade Francis Adetunji.
Channels TV’s correspondent reported that they arrived at the Police headquarters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital as early as 8am on Wednesday, noting that they were still there as at the time of this report.
The police officer who spoke off camera said two suspects had been apprehended in connection with the mayhem and confirmed that the confiscated camera had been found but damaged.
