Ms Ogunleye who is well over 50 years old, had announced plans of her marriage in a testimony she shared at the church during its New Year’s Eve service, with the congregation cheering with excitement.
According to her, as an usher, she would always see happy couples in church and always desired same for herself ever since she became widowed.
She also noted that her daughter (Simi) had often teased about going to other churches to find her match as Daystar is known to be a church for youths. But in a miraculous way she said, God brought the man of her dreams her way.
The wedding was well attended by close friends and family, as well as Senior pastors of Daystar Christian Centre, Nike and Sam Adeyemi, who also wished the newlyweds marital bliss in heartwarming post on Instagram.

Singer and songwriter, Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, popularly known as Simi is celebrating another landmark as her Album ‘Simisola’ Tops five On Billboard World Music Charts.
The album which dropped a few weeks back is leading the iTunes and Apple Music charts.

Fake Big Brother Naija housemate Jon Ogah has teamed up with Adekunle Gold and Simi to release his music video titled ‘Uncle Suru’.
Jon Ogah who was the winner of the first GLO Naija Sings released his first single “Gbedu” featuring popular Nigerian rapper Sasha P In November 2014.
‘Uncle Suru,’ which was initially released in 2014 and remixed with Adekunle Gold and Simi in 2017, was written for his senior in high school Suru, who inspired him to begin singing in church and later to take on music as a career.
He died in 2014 after a Book Haram car bomb was set off in church, where he was an usher.
“‘Uncle Suru’ is a letter to that senior, letting him know that I am chasing my dreams and even though its hard I won’t give up,” Jon said.
Jon ogah won Glo Naija sings when he was 18 and went away with $100,000.

Falz announced the official release of the music video produced by Studio Magic, Directed by Mex Films and featuring Ghanaian based model, on Friday.

Music stars, Falz and Simi, who were both nominated in the Best Breakthrough Act category at the recently concluded MTV Africa Music Award, have released a joint EP titled ‘Chemistry’.
The release of the seven-track project on Thursday, was preceded by several ‘pre-wedding’ themed photographs, which caused a frenzy on social media, as many wondered whether they would confirm long-standing speculations of a romance between them.
