The President has said that those who were involved in the bombing of churches in Niger state and public institutions including the United Nations building and the Police headquarters have all been arrested.

President Goodluck Jonathan was at the New Year service held at the All Saints Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion; zone 5 Wuse in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

He described the Boko Haram terror attacks, kidnapping in the south east and armed robbery as momentary challenges saying the public may not be aware of   what security operatives are doing because it is not all security issues that are made open to the public promising that his administration will overcome the issue of terrorism in the country.

“Most of these terror suspects have been arrested,” he said at a New Year’s Day church service in the capital Abuja on Tuesday.

“These people involved in some of these crimes – like bombing of the Catholic Church in Niger state, bombing of the United Nations building, bombing of the police headquarters – have been arrested. These are momentary challenges.”

On unemployment, the president said he will not only create jobs but will create opportunities that will encourage more Nigerian youths to get into entrepreneurship that will turn them into employers of labour rather than the penchant to make quick money.

In his sermon, the Primate of the Anglican church of Nigeria; Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh called on Nigerians to circumcise their hearts in order to make way for a progressive Nigeria in 2013.
