The acting Force Public Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mbah has dispelled rumours of an alleged attack on Kuje Prisons by members of the Islamic sect Boko Haram, saying there is no iota of truth in the alleged attack.

Mbah, who spoke to Channels Television in a telephone interview, said two persons were arrested in Kuje driving an unregistered car which prompted men of the Force to stop them for a routine search.

He disclosed that with the discovery of a gas cylinder in the boot of the car, men of the anti-bomb disposal unit were invited but a thorough search of the car reveals that the two persons were not carrying anything incriminating.

Mbah warned members of the public to desist from spreading unfounded stories which are capable of creating unnecessary tension in the country.
