The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar has asked Nigerians not to entertain any fear but go about their legitimate businesses as adequate measures have been put in place to ensure their security of lives and properties during the festivity period.

Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, who made this known to Channels Television added that the IGP has ordered all zonal commands to ensure that every nook and cranny around the nation is properly and adequately secured.

Mba said “security reports from across the country indicate that celebration has so far been hitch free and they security agencies are hopeful that  it will remain the same throughout the holidays”.
